Read more: Wonderful early intercultural exchangeWhat an exciting day it was when three South African Sisters who were currently staying in Germany, had the opportunity to visit St Cyriakus Kindergarten. This institution has been donating regularly for many years as german sisters from Oberzell used to work there and still visit the children and staff. The children asked questions about South African life, the food, animals and how a normal day for the children in Mbongolwane looks like. They had received videos and photos beforehand and had prepared a south african song in Isizulu, English and German. The Mayor and the priest from the community were also present and it was a wonderful atmosphere full of excitement, laughter and joy. Handmade little flags with all the children’s hands were given as a gift to take home to St Joseph and everyone went home happy that day. What a wonderful way to celebrate intercultural exchange and learning about each others lives in different parts of the world. Thank you so much for being our friends and partners – we are looking forward to many more of these wonderful moments together!
