Bees are important animals within the circle of life. But if they build their hive next to our childrens’ bedrooms, we must interfere.Over the last months, a big population of bees inhabitated a spot under the roof of our childrens’ bedrooms in St. Joseph. Thank God no child was harmed by the insects. But as more and more of them were flying around in the bedrooms and bathrooms day and night, we had to call for help in Eshowe. A specialized company drove all the way out to Mbongolwane to get rid of the hive and lock up the roof against all intruders. When they had finished their work, not only the bees had disappeared. The sisters also got a huge amount of delicious, organically produced honey. Indeed a good deal – and the bees will find a new home someplace else.
