Outing in Durban

The uShaka Marine World outing was a very special experience for the children as it was their very first time to see many different sea creatures and do fun things that they never got to do before.
Recently all the children at St. Joseph’s CYCC together with six care workers went on a trip to uShaka Marine World in Durban. They all were given entry tickets for free, thanks to the motivation letter of the development worker and the kind offer from uShaka. Upon their arrival they went inside the Aquarium and saw all the fish, sea turtles, sea horses and sharks. The children were very excited because they had never seen all those sea creatures. One of the little ones even asked: „Is that shark an airplane?“ They spent an hour in the Aquarium. After that they went to the Wet and Wild area where they would find pools and slides to enjoy themselves. The kids went swimming and splashed around. Afterwards everyone enjoyed watching the famous Dolphin show. Later on they had some food and ice cream and eventually it was time to pack up and drive back home. The children were very happy and tired at the end. It was a successful outing for St. Joseph, and a special day for the children.
